We hike, we camp, we climb... we are the mighty 3079! Join one of Chicago's biggest and most exciting Packs. Earn badgets for community service while having lots of fun. Take part in several activities a year including camp-outs, summer camp and the annual Pinewood Derby. Parents' participation expected. Troop 79 has a long history of Scouting excellence, with many young men having advanced to the rank of Eagle Scout. Our troop is sponsored by the Old Town Triangle Association. We are a troop run by boys for boys. The boys manage most aspects of troop operation under guidance of our adult leader. Girl Scouts

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Girls will have the chance to explore areas of interest, work on badges, learn the value of community service, and camp, all under the guidance of trained adult volunteers.
