Ages 11-18 –    www.Chicagotroop79.org

Troop 79 has a strong history of Scouting excellence and is sponsored by the Old Town Triangle Association.  Many T-79 Scouts advance to the rank of Eagle between the ages of 16-18 having thrived in the leadership opportunities afforded by our unique troop.  Troop 79 is “Scout Led”  meaning the older scouts stay fully engaged and active through high school to train and lead the younger scouts while planning and implementing troop programs.  We meet weekly at the Menonomee Clubhouse (in Old Town), enjoy monthly camping trips, and summer camp at Owasippe in Michigan.  Our programming guides each scout to “Be Prepared” for summer High Adventure to backpack Philmont New Mexico;  canoe (and snowshoe!) the Minnesota/Canada Boundary Waters; Bechtel Summit West Virginia; and sailing Sea Base St.Thomas. For more information contact Scoutmaster Dave Keats at 773-485-9900 and email  Scoutmaster@Chicagotroop79.org  —    www.Chicagotroop79.org
