Neal's experience working with children spans two decades and includes teaching, activity development, and athletics.  Neal has directed at The Menomonee Club since 1987.  He has a BA in Psychology from the University of Redlands, California and an MA in Interpersonal Communications from Governors State University.

Gary has been an integral part of the Menomonee gang for over ten years!  He teaches all of our JK and SK Sports classes as well as coaches and coordinates our leagues and junior leagues.

Erica graduated with a BS in Sports Management and a minor in Business from Valparaiso University.  She played Division 1 Softball for Valpo all four years.  Erica has been a life long sports nut.  Her sports of choice are baseball, softball and running. She has run 13 marathons and counting! 

Other interests include hanging out with her 12 nieces and nephews, going to the movies with friends and a good turkey sandwich.

As Program Director at Menomonee, she has helped many kids develop the skills, attitudes and self esteem to be great team players in sports and in life, over her 13 years with the Club.

Sara has enjoyed her work in the Menomonee office since 2000. She is a Registered Nurse and a certified Pediatric Nurse. When not in the Menomonee office, you can find her at Children's Memorial Hospital, on the Neurology and Neurosurgery units.

Sara loves to cook and her favorite thing in the world is traveling to new places--Nicaragua, Ethiopia, what's next?

Sarah studied at the University of Colorado in the field of Environmental Design and worked as an architectural drafter for two years. She loves art and cooking, and of course kids! She grew up in Chicago and attended the Francis Parker School and City Day. Sarah took Menomonee programs since she was in first grade! She is happy to be a part of The Menomonee Club, but this time in a different way! Sarah works as the Program Administrator in the office full time and also teaches Cooking classes with her mom, Robin Schroud.

Lauren has been enriching children's lives since 2003 as an instructor and arts administrator at the Menomonee Club. Lauren trained at Judith Svalander School of Ballet and Barat Conservatory of Dance before earning a BA in Dance at Columbia College Chicago. In 2009, Lauren completed her MS in Kinesiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In addition to working at the Menomonee Club, Lauren is an adjunct instructor for the Department of Kinesiology at UIC, a member of the Cecchetti Council of America, and Neurotransmitter to Synapse Arts Collective (read: too many jobs). Lauren created and maintains Art Intercepts as a platform for dance that is informed, inventive, and evidence-based. She enjoys her freelance work as a grant writer, production manager, and columnist at danceadvantage.net and 4dancers.org. A homeowner, bike commuter and master composter, Lauren loves to grow strawberries, bake scones, and dig in the dirt.

Grand Master Kidd holds a 7th degree black belt under the WTF Kukkiwon (certified from Korea), an 8th degree black belt under Grand Master Duk Gun Kwon, and has over thirty years experience in the Olympic sport and Korean martial art of Taekwondo.  He studied and trained in South Korea, and is ranked #1 in Illinois.  Master Kidd runs a success Taekwondo program at Menomonee Club, emphasizing a balance in education - knowledge in the mind, honesty in the heart, and strength in the body!
Jaime Farrell
Jamie Farrell (Morris, IL) had a successful gymnastics career.  At age 11, she began cross-training with dance to feed her obvious love of choreography.  By 15, Jamie switched focus from gymnastics to dance using her tumbling skills to spring her ahead.  She graduated form Point Park University in Pittsburgh with degrees in dance and business management.  She currently performs with Concert Dance Inc., which has giver her the opportunity to perform at Ravinia Music Festival, Jim Thorpe Opera House, and the Prague Dance Festival.  She looks forward to traveling with the company to China in May 2009.  Jamie is an instructor and demonstrator in the Dance Department at Northeastern Illinois University, where she is currently working on her graduate studies.  Ms. Farrell has performed with Chicago Dance Crash, Corpo Dance Company, Impetus Dance Theatre and Rasa Dance Theatre.

Tzanko Hantov

Tsanko Hantov competed in the 2000 Olympic Games and won a Bronze Medal at the 2001 World Championships in the Modern Pentathalon. Tsanko was National Senior Champion in 1998 and National Junior Champion in 1995 and 1996 in Men's Epee in Bulgaria, and continues to be an "A" rated fencer. Tsanko has coached fencing for more than 7 years, and has extensive experience training fencers at all levels. Tsanko has been the head coach at Windy City since 2005.  He is a graduate of the National Sports Academy, Sofia, Bulgaria.

Tsanko Hantov is now the owner of Windy City Fencing -Chicago, Inc.

Sensei Brett has been with The Menomonee Club since 1993. His 4th degree black belt is certified through the Kodokan in Japan. Brett is an international level coach through USA Judo. He has coached USA Judo's Junior Pan American Team for the past three years. Menomonee Judo Club is the training home of Max Schneider, who recently earned the Youth Olympic Gold Medal in Singapore.

Menomonee's Judo program has children of all levels from ages 3-18. Judo is a Japanese Olympic sport and means, "the gentle way", which makes it a challenging and rewarding discipline. Feel free to contact Sensei Brett directly if you have any questions.

Ted Holtz
Ted Holtz
After two years of studying saxophone privately under Prof. Stephen Duke at Northern Illinois University, Mr. Holtz went on to continue studying saxophone, clarinet and music education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. In 2004, he was invited out to sea and spent the next five years directing bands and playing saxophone, clarinet and flute professionally on luxury cruise ships around the world for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. Mr. Holtz returned to Chicago at the end of 2008 and is now playing regularly with a wide variety of groups and giving private woodwind instruction throughout the Chicagoland area.
