Grades: SK-6 Improv Theatre is a group experience in which children work and play with others for the joy of creating improvised drama. While taking part in the group dynamic, each drama student is guided to self-expression through theater games, skits, talk shows, storytelling, and other fun activities which stimulate the imagination and develop speaking and listening skills. Taught by Judy Fabjance of Second City. THE-101 Monday 4:00-5:00 pm Grades: SK-2 Member/Non-Member: $240/$280 Location: Old Town Triangle THE-102 Monday 5:00-6:00 pm Grades: 3-6 Member/Non-Member: $240/$280 Location: Old Town Triangle The Lake Forest Children's Theatre Company Performance Program Presents: Peter Pan - register online The Lake Forest Children's Theatre Company is a fun and entertaining way for students to learn discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and dedication. The Children's Theatre sparks imagination and trains children to think creatively and intuitively. Classes improve communication skills, self-esteem and respect for others and encourage students to explore their own creative voices. Most of all, the Children's Theatre inspires a love for the performing arts. Performance dates are currently to be announced.
Young Performance Program for Grades SK-1 - register online Grades: SK-1 Kids will have their first chance to perform on stage. All children involved in this program will attend weekly rehearsals to learn songs, dances and scenes. This class includes theater games, activities and more. Each child who is enrolled will receive a part in the show. Children will be given a practice cassette tape and script for personal practice. Our highly accredited instructors will direct the children. Children must be able to attend the first day of class for "auditions" of parts. We will not accept anyone after the first day of class. Absences must be limited to two class sessions in order to participate. Note: There will be one performance during the weekend of April 19 - 20; the exact date TBA. THE-401 Thursday January 24 - April 17 (no class March 27th) 4:15-5:15 pm Grades: SK-1 Member/Non-Member: $195/$235 Location: Drucker Center Performance Program for Grades 2-5 - register online Grades: 2-5 All children who are involved in this program will have the opportunity to perform in a musical production on stage. The children will rehearse weekly, under the direction of our highly accredited vocal, dance and drama instructors. The final performance will include original costumes and set design. Each child who auditions will receive a pratice CD and a script for personal practice. Children must be able to attend the first day of class for "auditions" of parts. We will not accept anyone after the first day of class. Note: There will be one performance during the weekend of April 19 - 20; the exact date TBA.
