Shirley Ryan Ability Lab | Ages: 7–17, youth with physical disabilities

The Caring for Kids program provides year-round adaptive sports and recreation programs including two 4-week summer camps for youth ages 7–17 with physical disabilities. Caring for Kids also offers weekly judo in partnership with the Menomonee Judo Club on Saturdays.  The program also provides dance, yoga and karate classes at the Drucker Center through Yoga for the Special Child and Thousand Wave Martial Arts and Self-Defense Center. Do you want to ignite passion for your kids and instill confidence in Coding, Engineering and Technology when they are young? Kids STEM Studio offers specialized STEM programs in coding, game design and development, Lego Robotics, and hands-on Engineering for kids ages 5 to 14. With an emphasis on creativity and fun, students leave our camp with newly acquired skills and confidence along with an interest in STEM. Our typical full day camp includes half a day of Hands-on Engineering and half a day of Technology class with outdoor recess. Parents to provide a nut-free lunch. Chess Wizards | Ages: 6-14 – Register Online
Kids will learn how to play chess and master their technique. Students will be taught by world-renowned chess coaches. They will learn very cool openings, midgames (with all the pins), double attacks, endgames, and other fun things in chess…even bug house and a camp tournament! All campers will receive a chess board, a set of chess pieces, Chess Wizards T-shirt, scoreboard, trophy, camp photo, work folder, and certificate of achievement. Taught by Chess Wizards experts.
