Sensei Brett Wolf has been with The Menomonee Club since 1993. He is a 6th degree Black Belt (Rokudan) and certified through the Kodokan in Japan. In 2015 the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee named Brett the Developmental Coach of the Year for all Sports (one of only two Judo coaches to ever receive the award). Brett is an International Gold Level coach with USA Judo and has coached Team USA at more than 30 major international tournaments around the world. Including, being Head Coach at three Junior World Championships – Ljubljana, Slovenia (2013), Abu Dhabi, UAE (2015) and Zagreb, Croatia (2017). He teaches judo to kids ages 3-18, as well as various other populations. Brett is also a pioneer in the field of Paralympic Judo and in 2012, Menomonee Judo was named the first Paralympic Judo National Training Center by USA Judo. The program has produced countless local, regional, national and international champions, including our first Olympian, Nefeli Papadakis (Tokyo, 2021) and Paralympian, Sarah Chung (Rio, 2016). Brett is a 2020 inductee into the Illinois Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
